After delivering one of the hottest releases of 2020 with the Dior x Air Jordan 1, Kim Jones looks to keep the momentum going with another Nike collaboration. Up next, the English fashion designer is focusing on a beloved Air Max model in the Air Max 95.
Official images of the Kim Jones x Nike Air Max 95 have made their way online this week, giving us our first legitimate look at the sneaker following rumors that began in June. Referred to as the “Total Orange” colorway, the collaborative Air Max 95 features upper panels that are said to draw inspiration from the human anatomy. Decorating these gray areas is a series of black Morse code-like dots and dashes, while bright orange eyestays provide pops of color underneath the dark-colored webbing. Additional orange accents appear via the Air Max branding on the tongue, as black Swooshes brand the pair at the toe and heel, just above Kim Jones’ name. Reflective silver accents draw further attention to the Air Max 95, which also features orange shading within the Max Air units. The shoe is then finished with a translucent outsole.
Early reports suggest Jones’ “Total Orange” Air Max 95 will be complemented by an additional “Black/Volt” colorway. The collaboration is rumored to arrive sometime in 2021. As always, however, keep it locked here for confirmation.
